The piece centers around a wine glass organ - which was built and is performed by Rebecca Seeman.
I conducted Rebecca on dynamics and feel as she diligently worked the array of carefully water-tuned goblets through several recording passes with intention of creating a vaguely Ligeti-esque 'Atmospheres' crescendo/climax.
A 'thru the portal' feeling that mirrors the images and scene in question for which it was used (Overdub Club, 'Nightsoil,' 2009).
