...another tune originally written during an Immersion Composition session (what IS this ICS? It's too much to explain...two words: web search).
This version came together during a magical tracking session at Che Lucky (Steve Lucky's little backyard studio space in Oakland, CA), which yielded four tunes, two of which are on this CD (the other being 'Boomer's Groove').
This was the last of several takes and the most laid back and simple. A last minute change in the lyric line and vocal led to a completely different approach for the ending than originally planned. Instead of an intense Tom Verlaine influenced solo similar to the original ICS recording, a way more in-the-pocket and subtle approach prevailed.
